Hero carousel assets — Landing page.
The featured carousel near the top of the toko.app landing page. Unlike the Launchpad/Marketplace banner, this one is filled automatically from featured secondary-market listings — so the “asset” is your listing’s image. This page tells you how to make it look great there.
The landing-page hero is a portrait-ish 4:3 card, not a full-width banner. It rotates a small set of highlights created and managed by Toko — whatever the platform wants to focus on (a drop, a listing, a feature). You don't upload a banner for this surface — if your work is spotlighted, Toko uses your listing / collection image — so the job here is to make that image read well inside the 4:3 frame.
The landing hero is created and managed by Toko (revised 2026-07-03) — slides are hand-authored around what the platform wants to spotlight; there's no automatic sampling here. The referral fee (1–10%) is still your self-serve placement lever, but it drives the landing page's Marketplace section (its cards are the highest-referral live listings, each deep-linking to its listing) and the Featured example set — not the hero. Full rules live in the Landing page design and Secondary marketplace specs.
Core specifications
Token art is usually 1:1, but this frame is 4:3. A square image is centre-cropped to fit, trimming the top and bottom. Either supply a dedicated 4:3 featured image, or keep your square composition centred with breathing room so the crop doesn't clip the subject.
Composition
- Subject upper / centre. The bottom third is covered by the badge, eyebrow, and title — keep faces and key detail above it.
- Strong, simple, high-contrast. The card is small and placement is automatic and random within the featured pool; a bold, legible image at a glance wins.
- Readable behind white text. The title is white on a bottom scrim — a darker or calmer lower area helps it pop.
- No baked-in words. The collection name and status badge are drawn live; don't duplicate them in the art.
How to appear here (and rank higher)
- List on the secondary market and opt the listing into featured placement.
- Set your referral fee (1–10%). A higher fee lifts your listing into the landing page's Marketplace section (cards deep-link to your listing) and raises your placement priority in the marketplace default sort. See The Marketplace, explained.
- Give it a great 4:3-friendly image per the spec above — that's the part you control here.
Do
- Supply a 4:3 image at 1600 × 1200+.
- Keep the subject upper / centre.
- Leave the bottom third calm for the overlay.
- Use sRGB WebP/JPG under 400 KB.
Don't
- Bake the title or a status badge into the image.
- Put key detail in the bottom third.
- Assume a square crop is safe — it isn't.
- Rely on fine detail; the card is small.
Export checklist
- 4:3 image — 1600 × 1200 (retina 2048 × 1536), sRGB.
- Subject upper / centre; bottom ~35% kept clear.
- No baked-in title or badge.
- WebP / JPG q80–85, ≤ 400 KB.
- Listing live on the marketplace with a referral fee set to lift placement — the fee drives the landing Marketplace section and Featured set automatically; the hero itself is Toko-curated.
